About BAPS

Korean Barbeque, Korean food, Dine in, Take-out

Located at 340 Albert Ave, East Lansing, MI 48823, BAPS operates as a restaurant serving East Lansing in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under korean barbecue restaurant, korean restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 12–2:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (517) 574-5587. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is bapsbbqrestaurant.wixsite.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

BAPS is easily one of the best Korean BBQ spots in the area. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, and the variety of sides they bring out is honestly amazing. Their kimchi is especially incredible β€” perfectly flavorful, fresh, and honestly some of the best I’ve had. I also love that they have so many great non-BBQ dishes, so there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and all of the waitresses are incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming which makes the whole experience even better. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. Every time I go, the service and food are consistently incredible. Highly recommend if you want delicious food and an all-around great dining experience!

Service here is as terrific as the food, which is always consistently fresh, flavorful, top quality. BBQ is a great choice, of course, but soups and noodles are also contenders. Authentic dishes make this a repeat choice for us.

I think the atmosphere there is great, the food is tasty and they have lot of choices of meat on the menu.

First time here and it was great. We had the BBQ and the portions were good sized, flavors were excellent, and the cost was as expected. We had brisket, pork belly, and the sweet marinated chicken, and the chicken was the standout. The others were good, but the chicken had that extra flavor from the marinade. The side were really good, We especially enjoyed the sesame salad. I would like the option for a refill on veggies, but it wasn't offered to us. The complimentary tea had a funky barley flavor that was really nice and earthy. We will be back to try the hot pot!

We had a lot of fun here! Having never been to a Korean BBQ before, we weren’t sure how it worked. Overall, it was a blast to cook our meats and veggies ourselves and their flavors were great! There was a decent amount of sides but we had to ask for more. Super unique and a bit more exciting than the typical restaurant. There’s definitely a technique to it and I think we’ll be better at it on our next approach.
